Forestry Commission chemical weeding contract (2nd year)

Once again we are spraying for the Forestry Commission on Rempstone. This is the second year that we have been working to remove Rhododendron, Gorse, and Birch saplings.

The results from last year are visible with very little re-growth. The Heather and Dwarf Gorse is thriving on the designated areas of open heathland that has taken over from previously felled softwood crops such as Corsican and Scots Pine as well as hemlock and western red cedar.

Spot spraying the target species allows us to be accurate with what we are removing, whilst preserving the natural native species.
